I live north of San Francisco in Sonoma County wine country, so weekends spent enjoying and exploring the Bay Area typically outnumber those at home. Though my favorite trips often require a passport, I always set aside time for a summer stint to recharge where I was raised on the Jersey Shore.
At the start of my career I worked in television news, first in Fort Myers, Florida, and then San Francisco. I didn’t often get the opportunity to report feature stories. Now, I enjoy writing about anything fun — travel, soft adventure, responsible wildlife interactions, food, and wine — anything that makes folks smile. I also serve as a travel correspondent for KRON4 television in San Francisco, so along with photography, I shoot video when on the go.
Favorite trips and recent assignments include whale watching in Antarctica, snorkeling in Ketchikan, Alaska, (Yes, it’s cold, but worth it!) and watching bears feast on spawning salmon along Canada’s Sunshine Coast. I don’t think I’ve ever been on trip where I haven’t found something that’s made me happy I’ve made the journey. Writing credits include Condé Nast Traveler, Afar, AARP, Garden & Gun, Hemispheres, Diablo Magazine, Sonoma magazine, The Telegraph.com, and more.
I split my days between traveling, pitching editors, writing, trying to keep up with the ever-changing publishing world, and hanging out with my family and rescue pup.
